Our Annual January Social was held January 26th from 7 to 9pm at Smitty's Restaurant Banquet room. Members met for a fun evening of visiting and snacks. We are so grateful to David (Michele Brewster's brother-in-law) from DST Consulting for hosting this special night. As members enjoyed each others' company, sharing our Artists activities over this past year and hopes for the coming year, this surely was a fun time.
Byron Nilsson gave us a talk and demonstration regarding the Website and showed us around the site and explained what we have available to us through our Website, Facebook, Twitter and Google plus. We also now have a secure member's only feature. Thanks Byron, that was a great help.
Greg McMartin brought one of his Ice Sculptures for us to enjoy; it was great... Thanks Greg!

Members: Join us for the first "Third Thursday" on February 16 @ 7:00 pm hosted by Gwen Day in Carstairs. "Third Thursdays" are our training & networking days when we meet for 1 1/2 hr to learn and share wisdom about the economics of Art. This month we will focus on "Marketing, Artist Bio and Artist Statement" with the help of a video that has helped Gwen gain professional insight. We welcome the experience of any of you who would like to share for about 5 minutes about this topic; if you are interested please reply to Osi or Gwen so we can have it in the agenda and plan for a great evening!Feel free to invite fellow artists in the community that would benefit from this information.
